TCBC Is Back in the Touring Business In 1988, the Tri-City Bicycle Club was formed as a cycle touring club. Until 2003, the club had a tour every Summer, plus several 3-day weekend tours in the Spring and Fall. We're proud to announce that we will be getting back to our roots. Tour dates: July 31 through August 7. The route for this year's tour will be Canada's Sunshine Coast, starting in Vancouver. The route will take us across to Vancouver Island, up past Nanaimo to Comox, across the strait to Powell River, and back down the coast to Vancouver. Lodging will be in hotels. A bag/Sag wagon will be provided, so no tourist need carry anything but the usual stuff for a day's ride. The route will encompass about 300 total miles. The projected cost is in the $800-1000 range per rider. If you are interested in joining this tour, please respond to the club's general email address. The tour leaders are Ed & Kathleen Nordquist and Dave & Sue Gerkensmeyer. Further details and a closer cost estimate, plus a schedule for deposits, will be announced soon. |

Get your ride ready (from the Seattle Times) It’s time to dust the cobwebs off of your bike and get it back on the road. But first, you’ll need to give your bike a thorough once-over to ensure that it’s safe and ready to ride. Lots of good info on a single page. |
